This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Zé Jiurgite! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 14 losses; Radu Dracul! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Jiurgite looks to clinch
and Dracul counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Jiurgite (0) vs (2) Dracul We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dracul not doing much here.
Jiurgite is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at HELLCADEMY, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Dracul wants to pass to mount but Jiurgite is defending the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dracul stalling away here and it's allowed Jiurgite to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jiurgite has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dracul can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jiurgite is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dracul is looking to pass into half guard but Jiurgite pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jiurgite is in guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Jiurgite (2) vs (2) Dracul Dracul wants to sweep here but Jiurgite controlling him for the moment.
Dracul is looking for a triangle but Jiurgite pushes his legs off easily.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dracul controls Jiurgite momentarily but Jiurgite frees himself. Dracul is trying to hold Jiurgite in close to prevent damage but Jiurgite has managed to pass into half guard.
Jiurgite controlling the action here. Dracul wants to improve his position but Jiurgite is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dracul trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Jiurgite manages to pass to mount!

Dracul tries to lock up and control but Jiurgite gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jiurgite controlling the pace for now. Dracul really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dracul tries to control the position but Jiurgite now has his back.
Score +3 for taking back: Jiurgite (8) vs (2) Dracul Dracul rolls, trying to escape but Jiurgite keeps control of the position.
Jiurgite is not going to allow Dracul to sit and survive in this position. I really don't envy Dracul right now.
Dracul breaks Jiurgite's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Jiurgite has his foot on Dracul's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dracul works his way back into a safe position though. Jiurgite keeping moving, preventing Dracul from controlling successfully. Dracul tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiurgite is retaining full guard.
 That's five minutes gone in the round.
Jiurgite has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dracul should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jiurgite has tightened it up now! Dracul should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
