This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 40 wins and 23 losses; Anderson Da Silva! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 32 wins and 23 losses; Walon Green! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Da Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side. Green misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Da Silva shoots in but Green avoids the takedown attempt easily. Da Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Green is fending him off so far but Da Silva persists. Nope, Green circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Green swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Da Silva is now in Green's guard. A big mistake from Green there, giving up the dominant position! Da Silva tries to pass to full mount but Green defends it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Da Silva is working away from the top position though. Green tries to roll over but Da Silva keeps him under control.
Green actively working from the bottom here. Da Silva is looking to advance position but Green won't allow it. Green felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Green drops back, looking for a kneebar! Da Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Da Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Da Silva!  That's five minutes gone in the round. Green reaches up and holds on to Da Silva to control the position. Green is trying to escape the mount but Da Silva keeps good control and instead manages to take Green's back.

Green is looking to pass into half guard but Da Silva pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Da Silva is in guard. Green looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Da Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Green wants to sweep but no luck. Da Silva advances to half guard. Green wants to improve his position but Da Silva is controlling well.
Green has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Da Silva. Oh but Green has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Da Silva goes limp - he's gone! Green jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
