Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Snowflake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chong Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bo Snowflake!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snowflake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Li sprawls well initially but Snowflake persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Snowflake content to control rather than advance.
Snowflake thows a huge punch but Li dodges it nicely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Snowflake seems to be looking for submissions.
Snowflake trying to mount his opponent but Li defends it.
Snowflake is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Snowflake is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Li sees it coming and defends easily.
Snowflake is stalling here. Li is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Snowflake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Li has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Snowflake is looking for a sweep.

Snowflake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Li sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Li wants to get back to full guard but Snowflake has passed into side control.

Snowflake is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Li has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Li!

Snowflake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Li can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Snowflake is looking for a triangle but Li pushes his legs off easily.
Snowflake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Li might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Snowflake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Li gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bo Snowflake dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Snowflake drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Snowflake stays in close to Li's body and controls the position.

Snowflake drops back looking for a leg! Li is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Li manages to kick Snowflake off! Snowflake jumps back into Li's guard.
Li is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Snowflake is controlling him.

Snowflake drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Snowflake jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Snowflake moves into full mount! Li won't be happy about that!

Li would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Snowflake has his foot on Li's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Li works his way back into a safe position though.
Li has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Snowflake is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snowflake wants to sweep here but Li controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bo Snowflake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Li wants to control but Snowflake is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Snowflake closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Snowflake lands in his opponent's guard.

Well Snowflake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
