Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Capot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ernesto Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Capot to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sosa keeping moving, preventing Capot from controlling successfully.
Sosa looking for a sweep. Not yet Sosa, not yet.
Capot trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Capot wants to control from the top but Sosa keeps moving.
Sosa throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Capot trying to control but Sosa is working from the bottom.
Capot looking to sit in guard and control but Sosa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sosa throws a big right hand that misses.
Sosa throwing strikes from guard but Capot blocks nicely.
Sosa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sosa works over Capot with some ground and pound from guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sosa working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Sosa is in close to Capot's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Capot is controlling Sosa's posture.
Sosa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Sosa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Sosa passes Capot's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Sosa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Sosa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Capot with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sosa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sosa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Sosa looks to land a strike but Capot avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

A big shot lands for Sosa! That's hurt Capot! Will he recover? Sosa fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Ernesto Sosa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
