Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elian Duke (ranked 3940 p4p, 25023 weight class) and Leandro Da Silva (ranked 434 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Zombie - The Cranberries. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Duke has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Da Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Duke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Da Silva sprawls well initially but Duke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Duke seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Da Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Duke escapes and gets back to his feet.
Da Silva has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Duke.

You can see the frustration on Da Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Duke goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Da Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Duke but great work by Da Silva.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Da Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
