Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaxon Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoda Aki!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aki tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Williams scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Williams misses the jab.
Aki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Williams dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Williams moves into range and clinches up with Aki.
Williams turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Williams manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams decides to stand back up. Williams steps back and let's Aki get back to his feet.
Williams lands an overhand right.
Some wild striking there from Williams.
Williams jabs at Aki's body.
Aki looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams lands with an uppercut that bounces Aki off the cage and back into range.
Aki walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Williams swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jaxon Williams!
A relieved looking Jaxon Williams thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
