Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Kale (ranked 4275 p4p, 3943 weight class) and Cesare Gatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Kale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cesare Gatta!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kale darts in and clinches Gatta up against the cage.
Gatta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kale smiles and moves away.
Gatta shoots in looking for a takedown but Kale manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gatta's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kale changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kale shoots in and drives through. Gatta sprawls well.
Gatta now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Gatta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kale swivels and escapes.
Jacob Kale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cesare Gatta.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gatta is defended easily by Kale.
Kale shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gatta lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Kale has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gatta after a bit of a struggle.

Gatta tries for a takedown but Kale sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kale throws a series of punches but Gatta moves out of range.

and Kale counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Kale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gatta shoots for a double leg takedown but Kale sprawls well. He's pushed Gatta's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kale throws a big counter combination but Gatta scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gatta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kale.
Despite the aggression on Gatta's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Gatta.
Gatta looks winded!

Kale shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kale.
Kale throws a nice looking combination but Gatta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gatta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kale is looking to counter the offense by Gatta and move into the clinch.

Gatta instigates a clinch.
Kale tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gatta smiles and moves away.
Kale gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Gatta moves into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kale is trying to pull guard but Gatta has him pressed against the cage.
Kale jumps guard but Gatta stands there with Kale around his waist. Kale gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gatta pulls guard successfully.
Kale wants to stand but Gatta is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kale stops Gatta from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kale controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gatta pulls Kale in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gatta not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Gatta moves in looking to clinch but Kale pushes him off.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Kale dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A slapping leg kick lands for Kale.
Kale dives in and grabs Gatta's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gatta pushes down on Kale's head and hops out.
Gatta fails with a takedown attempt.
Kale appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Gatta misses with a body kick.

Kale instigates a clinch.
Kale tries to pull guard but Gatta forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gatta is trying to push Kale away but Kale has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gatta is looking to take this one to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kale is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gatta gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Kale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gatta as he jumps to the side.

Gatta avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gatta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kale, pushing him back against the cage.

Gatta gets control of Kale's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gatta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kale postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gatta is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kale, into his guard.

Gatta trying to control but Kale is working from the bottom.
Gatta trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gatta trying to control the position from guard on top but Kale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kale throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Kale throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gatta uses it to pass to side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gatta content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Gatta working away.
Gatta is looking to take a break and control but Kale is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kale struggling a bit here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cesare Gatta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kale is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gatta sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kale will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No joy there for Kale, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gatta tries for a takedown but Kale sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Gatta has closed the distance and engaged Kale in a clinch.
Gatta is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kale is defending well.
Gatta tries to score a body lock takedown but Kale shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gatta circles away quickly and effectively.

Gatta shoots in looking for a takedown. Kale tries to sprawl out of it but Gatta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kale manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kale tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gatta manages to circle out of the way.
Kale fails with a takedown attempt.
Kale tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kale tries to clinch there but Gatta circles away.

Kale closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kale slowing the pace effectively.
Gatta has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kale avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gatta gets through Kale's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gatta is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Kale breaks from the clinch.
Kale shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gatta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kale but Kale pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gatta fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kale on the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacob Kale.
I think Kale has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
