Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Werner misses with a punch on the inside.
Werner pushes Ali back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Werner drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ali blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Werner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Werner swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ali.

Werner should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Werner lands a nice uppercut.

Werner lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ali backwards.
Werner ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Werner no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali is standing up over Werner. Werner looks to escape but Ali dives into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ali slips a jab from Werner.
Werner tries to bum rush Ali with a series of wild strikes but Ali uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Werner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ali manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Werner manages to get himself to full guard.
Ali wants to control from the top but Werner keeps moving.

Ali is really struggling to control Werner but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Ali stands up and waves to Werner to follow him.
Hans Werner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ali shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Werner pinned against the cage. Werner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ali uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Werner.

Ali misses with a takedown attempt - Werner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ali tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Werner's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ali drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Werner gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Werner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Werner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ali is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ali is on top in guard.

Ali wants to get up but he can't break Werner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ali wants to control from the top but Werner keeps moving.
Werner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ali. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Werner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ali is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Werner is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mohammad Ali showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Werner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
