The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Marjanovic enables Adriaanse to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Marjanovic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Johannes Adriaanse will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Marjanovic jabs Adriaanse right on the nose. Adriaanse blinks but takes it well.
Adriaanse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marjanovic but Marjanovic pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It seemed like Marjanovic was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Adriaanse lands a strong strike to the head of Marjanovic. That's dazed him! Adriaanse looking to finish here. Marjanovic is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Adriaanse lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
