Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Enuardo James (ranked 3619 p4p, 3633 weight class) and Wally Blocks (ranked 0 p4p, 233 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Enuardo James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wally Blocks! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James misses with a right hand
and Blocks counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for James! James is looking for a sweep. Blocks misses with an attempted head punch from side control. James is looking to reverse the position. James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blocks on the ground. A lull in the action here. Blocks trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. James is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blocks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Blocks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. James avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Blocks.
 That's one minute gone in the round. James taking punishment in the form of punches.
Blocks lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James tries to get back to half guard but can't. Blocks in side control, throwing shots but James defends. Blocks fails to land a wild elbow strike.
James is trying to get back to half guard. Blocks working the ground and pound from side control.
Blocks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blocks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Blocks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, James has escaped the position, nice work there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blocks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. James parries the strikes from Blocks easily there. Blocks is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable James to escape.
James on the wrong end of some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. James wants to control but Blocks postures up. Blocks throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Blocks tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Blocks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, James has escaped the position, nice work there.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blocks working the head with strikes. James dodges the ground and pound from Blocks.
Blocks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Blocks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blocks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! James gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Blocks sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Blocks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Blocks prevents James from getting the reversal. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Blocks cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
James is squirming around, avoiding Blocks's attempts to control the action.
Blocks is going oldschool here, as he tries to force James to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so James shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blocks raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blocks breaks from James's wrist control and lands an elbow. Blocks lands with some strikes.
Blocks working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. James turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Blocks off and cradles James's limp body as Blocks celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Wally Blocks!
