Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darden Kane (ranked 2403 p4p, 2156 weight class) and Massiel Tomás (ranked 250 p4p, 223 weight class). Massiel Tomás will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Massiel Tomás!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kane drives through and clinches with Tomás against the cage.
Tomás is trying to force a seperation but Kane has the dominant position.
Kane tries to score a body lock takedown but Tomás shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tomás throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kanes head.
Tomás manages to break the clinch.
Tomás uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kane has time to react.
Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darden Kane.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
