Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pavo Vukoja (ranked 4429 p4p, 25724 weight class) and Beat Mameat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pavo Vukoja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beat Mameat!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mameat throws a solid leg kick but Vukoja takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mameat.
Vukoja feinted with a counter takedown.
Mameat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vukoja swivels and escapes.
Mameat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vukoja sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mameat somewhat.
Mameat gets a takedown into half guard.
Mameat trying to control from half guard but Vukoja is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mameat is looking for a kimura but Vukoja is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mameat to get the leverage.
Mameat thows a huge punch but Vukoja dodges it nicely.

Mameat prevents Vukoja from improving his position.
Vukoja looking for submissions off his back.
Vukoja wants to get back to full guard.
Mameat uses his free foot to push down on Vukoja's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vukoja.

Mameat is landing with some decent strikes but Vukoja is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Vukoja knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mameat on the ground.

Mameat prevents Vukoja from getting the reversal.
Mameat thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Vukoja might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mameat is keen to just control but Vukoja is a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vukoja pushes Mameat off looking to stand but Mameat dives back in and keeps control.
Vukoja has a hand on Mameat's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mameat takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Mameat throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mameat prevents Vukoja from standing back up.
Mameat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vukoja is trying to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Vukoja is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Mameat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vukoja is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vukoja pushes Mameat away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mameat gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Beat Mameat dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Vukoja catches Mameat with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mameat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vukoja sprawls well. Vukoja wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mameat gets slowly back to his feet.
Mameat shoots in and bounces Vukoja off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vukoja wants to stand and escape but Mameat is having none of it.

Vukoja leaves Mameat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mameat is breathing heavily.
Vukoja rushes Mameat and presses him up against the cage.
Vukoja tries to break free but Mameat pushes him back against the cage.

Vukoja can't break the clinch.
Mameat is trying to pull guard but Vukoja turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pavo Vukoja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beat Mameat.
Vukoja wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Come on Vukoja - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Vukoja wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mameat has him pressed against the cage.

Mameat tries for a takedown but Vukoja manages to get underhooks.
Vukoja missing with knees to the body.
Mameat has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vukoja avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Vukoja gets through Mameat's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Mameat fails to pull guard.
Mameat keeps control of Vukoja as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Vukoja pressing his opponent against the cage.
Vukoja goes for a takedown attempt but Mameat pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vukoja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mameat avoids it really well and circles away.

Vukoja's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Vukoja duly obliges.
Mameat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vukoja looks for a takedown but Mameat sprawls well.
Mameat wants to counter the offense by Vukoja and move into the clinch position.
Mameat moves out of range of the leg kick from Vukoja.
Vukoja goes for a double leg but Mameat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mameat continues to drive forward.

Vukoja drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vukoja accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vukoja has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Vukoja wants to control from the top but Mameat keeps moving.
Vukoja throws a big elbow that misses.
Vukoja stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mameat swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vukoja wants to pass the guard but Mameat is keeping the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pavo Vukoja.
I think Vukoja has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
