Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hall (ranked 305 p4p, 745 weight class) and Rico Milka (ranked 29 p4p, 69 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 50 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hall! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rico Milka! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hall slips nicely into half guard. Milka is not content to let Hall control the position.
Hall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Milka doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hall.
Hall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Milka sees it coming and defends easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Milka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hall is working for a submission of some sort.
Hall is looking for a kimura but Milka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hall to get the leverage. Hall trying to pass the guard but Milka defending well.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hall is looking to take a break and control but Milka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Milka is trying to stand.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Milka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hall dodges the punch combination from Milka.
Hall shoots in but Milka avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hall steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Milka. That one must have hurt.
Hall scores with a takedown into Milka's guard. Hall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milka swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Milka keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully. Hall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Milka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Milka has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hall has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hall tries for a takedown but Milka manages to get underhooks.
Hall is trying to drag Milka to the mat but Milka just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Richard Hall will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Milka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Milka wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hall manages to pass to side control. Richard Hall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hall wants to advance to full mount but Milka doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Hall advances position into side control!
Hall thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hall is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Milka has escaped the position, nice work there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Hall dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Milka has Hall up against the cage in a clinch.
Milka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Milka scores with a shot to the side of Hall's head.
Hall has picked Milka up - he's going for a ride! Hall dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Milka wants to get back to his feet.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Milka tries to kick Hall off but Hall keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Milka. No joy for Hall on that attempt. Milka raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Rico Milka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Milka defends it nicely. Hall fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hall fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Milka sprawls well initially but Hall persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to pass the half guard into mount. Milka knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hall has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hall trying to control but Milka is having none of it. You get the feeling that Milka really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Milka is squirming around, avoiding Hall's attempts to control the action.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Milka stops Hall from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Milka is looking to escape.
Hall wants to finish this one by submission but Milka is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Milka's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Hall clearly takes that round. That's time! Hall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Milka throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Milka with a nice cross. Milka leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hall gets cracked there but stands up to it.
 Hall is rocked! Hall staying out of range there. Milka lands a head kick. Hall smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Milka throws a series of punches but Hall avoids them all with ease.
Milka has closed the distance and engaged Hall in a clinch.
Hall pulls guard effortlessly. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hall pulls Milka in close to his closed guard and prevents Milka from doing any damage or advancing position. Milka trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hall's guard. Hall seems to have got his legs back now.

Hall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Milka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hall working a defensive guard here.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Milka would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Milka is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Milka stands and steps away. Hall gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hall drives through with a takedown into Milka's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hall wants to pass the guard but Milka is keeping the position. Hall works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Rico Milka dominated that fourth round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A jab from Milka misses. Milka connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Milka bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Rico Milka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Milka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A little feinted left hand from Hall on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Both fighters circling a little - Milka finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Hall takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Milka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hall attempts a counter takedown but Milka avoids it well and moves away. Hall slips under a jab. Milka throws a head kick that Hall semi-blocks.
Hall moves into the clinch successfully.
Milka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hall blocks a jab. Hall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Milka as he jumps to the side. Milka with the inside leg kick. Milka misses with a body shot.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Milka throws a shot from downtown. Hall moves away and avoids it. Hall avoids the head kick by Milka.
Hall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Hall closes this distance looking for a takedown but Milka circles away. No joy there for Milka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hall fails in his attempt to clinch. Richard Hall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Milka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Milka is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?
Hall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Milka pushes Hall off looking to stand but Hall dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight! Rico Milka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
