Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy Lloyd!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lloyd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lloyd is defended easily by Thompson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Lloyd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lloyd is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thompson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thompson's back!
Thompson breaks Lloyd's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Lloyd is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Thompson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lloyd is keeping the position for now.
Lloyd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thompson wants to control from the top but Lloyd keeps moving.
Lloyd is looking for a triangle but Thompson pushes his legs off easily.

Lloyd looking for a guillotine here but Thompson defends easily.
Lloyd is looking to sweep but instead, Thompson has passed into half guard.
Thompson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lloyd with a poor takedown
and Thompson counters with a single leg into guard. Lloyd didn't expect that.
Lloyd looking for a sweep. Not yet Lloyd, not yet.
Thompson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lloyd's guard.
Thompson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lloyd is just riding it out for now. Thompson eventually gives up the hold.
Thompson wants to control but Lloyd is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thompson passes to side control.
Lloyd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thompson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson is working to tighten is grip on Lloyd's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lloyd has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Thompson is really squeezing tight and eventually Lloyd passes out! Thompson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
