Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brylin Barber (ranked 3972 p4p, 3866 weight class) and Makino Yukitoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 398 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Makino Yukitoshi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Barber finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Barber swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Yukitoshi counters with a takedown into side control.
Barber manages to get back to half guard.
Barber regains full guard. Nicely done.
Barber on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barber tries to get out of the position.
Yukitoshi stops Barber from standing up.
Barber bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yukitoshi's guard.

Barber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barber is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yukitoshi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yukitoshi wants to hold on but Barber pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barber is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Barber is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Yukitoshi with him. Yukitoshi is trying to defend but Barber has an arm under the chin now! Yukitoshi grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Brylin Barber!
Brylin Barber spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
