This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Leonard Norton! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 4 losses; Kevin Durant! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Durant fails with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Durant. No joy for Norton on that attempt. Durant dives in for a single leg takedown but Norton sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Norton fails to land the takedown. Norton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonard Norton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Norton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Durant quickly recovers to half guard. Durant escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Durant is trying to control the position but Norton postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durant is pulling down on Norton's head. It's preventing any offense from Norton, at least for the moment.
Norton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Durant manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Norton has Durant in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Norton (2) vs (2) Durant
 That's one minute gone in the round. Durant stays in close to Norton's body and controls the position. Durant won't allow Norton to sweep him here.
Durant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Norton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Durant has managed to get both his arms back between Norton's legs - danger averted. Norton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Norton has an active guard here but Durant has managed to pass into half guard.
Norton looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Durant perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norton is looking to get to half guard. Durant sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Durant just content to control the position. Norton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Durant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Norton keeps working.

Well, with Durant on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Norton is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
