Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Chang (ranked 4333 p4p, 2746 weight class) and Cristino Cleto (ranked 393 p4p, 290 weight class). Cristino Cleto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rudy Chang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cristino Cleto! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleto clinches. A short right from Cleto on the inside. Cleto swings wildly with an uppercut but Chang uses good head movement to avoid it. Chang wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cleto lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Chang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cleto's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cleto's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Chang wants to land a leg kick but Cleto is out of range. Chang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A head kick misses from Chang.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Cleto working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cleto lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Chang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cleto slips a jab and a cross from Chang.
Chang throws a head kick that half lands.
Chang bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Cleto has Chang up against the cage in a clinch.
Cleto presses Chang against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cleto lands a nice shot to the body. Cleto working aggressively here.
Cleto lands a hook that snaps the head of Chang backwards.

Cleto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chang manages to get himself to full guard.
Cleto works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cleto wants to pass to mount but Chang is defending the position.
Cleto has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Chang defend it? Cleto steps over the head and cranks it - Chang is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Cleto!
