Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5446 p4p, 22761 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 145 - 30 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 154 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter A has a takedown stuffed.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Fighter B shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fighter A napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fighter A is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The strikes coming from Fighter B are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Sloppy strikes there by Fighter B.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B postures up.
Fighter B is putting a hurting on Fighter A here, landing some big shots from side control.
Fighter B with the ground and pound but Fighter A regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Fighter A keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Fighter A regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fighter B.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter B wants to pass the guard but Fighter A is keeping the position.
Fighter A managing to control the position.
Fighter B throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Fighter B looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fighter A!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Fighter B creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fighter A sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fighter B misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter A is pushing Fighter B's head away, looking to escape. Fighter B manages to hold on to the position though.
Fighter B throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
You can see the frustration on Fighter A's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fighter A is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fighter B's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Fighter B decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Fighter B closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter A, looking for a takedown. Fighter B pushes Fighter A against the cage but Fighter A circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it.

Fighter A gets a double leg takedown into Fighter B's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fighter A controls the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Fighter B stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter B wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fighter A changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B goes for a double leg but Fighter A avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fighter A continues to drive forward.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter B enables Fighter A to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter B manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A is stalling in the full guard.
Fighter B is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fighter A throwing strikes but missing.
Fighter B looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter A looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Fighter B trying to control the position here.
Fighter A engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter B wants it to stay on the feet.

Fighter B looking to score a takedown here. Fighter A is defending well but Fighter B drives through and ends up in Fighter A's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Fighter A manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Fighter A drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fighter B pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A shoots for a takedown but Fighter B saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fighter B counters with a body kick.
Fighter B lands with a nice body kick.
Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter A or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter B, which made it look bad.
Fighter B looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Fighter B tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A postures up.
Fighter B looking for a sweep. Not yet Fighter B, not yet.
Fighter B wants to stand but Fighter A is controlling the position.
Fighter B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fighter A controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter B leaves Fighter A with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fighter B tries for a takedown but Fighter A sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick.
Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter A sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fighter A appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fighter A.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fighter B can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B is trying to escape the position but Fighter A is controlling the position.
Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Fighter A has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
