Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Baz Kimber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason De Souza!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimber forces De Souza back against the cage and clinches.
Kimber is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. De Souza is defending well for now.
Kimber gets control of De Souza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kimber will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
De Souza throwing strikes but missing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells De Souza's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kimber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Souza on the ground.
De Souza throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kimber works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

De Souza is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Souza throws a big right hand that misses.
De Souza postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kimber is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Souza, into his guard.
De Souza keeping moving, preventing Kimber from controlling successfully.

Kimber is in close to De Souza's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kimber with a flurry of punches that miss.
De Souza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kimber doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but De Souza is tightening it up a little... Kimber has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kimber reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kimber taps out! Nice BJJ there by De Souza!
