This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 19 losses; Ceasar Rules! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 54 wins and 34 losses; Jisoo Oh! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Oh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rules napping and manages to drive through into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Rules (0) vs (4) Oh The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rules tries to buck Oh off but Oh is having none of it. Oh just content to control the position. You can see the frustration on Rules's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rules seems a little lost for a moment, as Oh dominates the positioning. Rules tries to buck Oh off but Oh is having none of it. My spies in HELLCADEMY inform me that Oh has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rules tries to buck Oh off but Oh is having none of it. Oh controls the position.  That's twelve minutes gone in the round. The adventures of Oh the control monster continue. Boring. We've been hearing good reports from Rules's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Oh wants to pass to mount but Rules is defending the position.
