Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Stanley (ranked 3904 p4p, 3992 weight class) and Arman Sarkisyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dennis Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arman Sarkisyan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stanley.
Stanley wants to control but Sarkisyan is keeping him busy.
Sarkisyan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sarkisyan wants to control but Stanley postures up.
Stanley throws a strike aimed at the side of Sarkisyan's head but Sarkisyan avoids it well.
Sarkisyan parries the strikes from Stanley easily there. Stanley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sarkisyan to escape.
Stanley working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Sarkisyan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sarkisyan is working away from the top position though.
Stanley wants to improve his position but Sarkisyan is controlling well.

Stanley pushes Sarkisyan off looking to stand but Sarkisyan dives back in and keeps control.
Sarkisyan is keen to just control but Stanley is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stanley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sarkisyan is fending him off so far but Stanley persists. Nope, Sarkisyan circles away and we're back to standing.

Sarkisyan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sarkisyan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sarkisyan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sarkisyan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stanley with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stanley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sarkisyan pulls his head out easily.

Stanley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sarkisyan on the ground.

Sarkisyan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stanley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Stanley pushes Sarkisyan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sarkisyan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Stanley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sarkisyan.
