Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Demetrius Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alvarez.
Alvarez let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Alvarez looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range.
Alvarez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alvarez off to one side.
Wilson punishes Alvarez's body with a nice straight punch.
Wilson cracks Alvarez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Alvarez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wilson's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alvarez is standing up over Wilson. Wilson looks to escape but Alvarez dives into side control.
Alvarez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wilson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Wilson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
