The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Bommel throws a head kick but Hoost moves out of range.
As Van Bommel backs off Hoost throws a huge counter combo but Van Bommel manages to avoid it all.
Van Bommel drives through and clinches with Hoost against the cage.
Hoost throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Van Bommel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hoost tries to keep at a distance but Van Bommel has taken the fight into the clinch.

Van Bommel pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Hoost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Van Bommel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Van Bommel looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Van Bommel drops Hoost with a big knee straight up the middle! Hoost is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Hoost is rocked!
It looks like Ernesto Hoost has been cut.
