Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sigmund Salazar (ranked 2570 p4p, 3259 weight class) and Big Baby (ranked 270 p4p, 330 weight class). Sigmund Salazar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Big Baby's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sigmund Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Big Baby! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Baby misses. Baby is looking to chop away at Salazar's legs. Salazar shoots in for a takedown but Baby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Baby throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Baby leaves Salazar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Salazar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Baby sees it coming and defends easily. Baby is trying to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baby is trying to stand up here but Salazar is controlling him well.
Salazar is looking for a kimura but Baby is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Salazar to get the leverage.

Baby is doing well to control the position and prevent Salazar from advancing to side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baby can do anything to dispel that myth. Salazar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Baby is trying to escape the mount.
Baby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salazar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Salazar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Baby is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Baby is trying to improve his position. Salazar advances to mount. Baby is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
