The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivaldo is looking to clinch.
Gibson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gibson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rivaldo is working an open guard so Gibson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gibson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rivaldo sprawls well initially but Gibson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gibson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gibson lands a couple of good shots and Rivaldo has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gibson lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibson tries to keep control of the position but Rivaldo is staying busy.
Gibson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Rivaldo defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Gibson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rivaldo knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rivaldo for a finish.
