Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miras Diaz (ranked 4087 p4p, 4103 weight class) and Jake Kern (ranked 0 p4p, 315 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kern shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kern showed some decent athleticism there.

Kern is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kern is pulling down on Diaz's head. It's preventing any offense from Diaz, at least for the moment.
Diaz slips nicely into half guard.
Diaz is keen to just control but Kern is a slippery customer.

Kern stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Diaz to get to his feet.

Kern seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jake Kern showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Jake Kern comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kern has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
