The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Cicerón stuffs the takedown. Hozdic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cicerón circles away.
Cicerón changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hozdic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cicerón prefers to stall for the moment though. We've been hearing good reports from Cicerón's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hozdic is looking to reverse the position. Hozdic can't do much from the bottom here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cicerón is looking to take a break and control but Hozdic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hozdic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cicerón wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cicerón taking a breather here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hozdic is looking for a sweep. Hozdic can't do much from the bottom here. Cicerón trying to control the action but Hozdic is working from the bottom. Cicerón is really struggling to control Hozdic but he's trying to hold on to the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Hozdic is looking to regain half guard here but Cicerón keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Cicerón wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hozdic keeps working. Hozdic is trying to control Cicerón's posture but Cicerón avoids it. Hozdic is looking for a sweep. Hozdic manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!  That's seven minutes gone in the round. Hozdic keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Cicerón is positioning himself well to prevent Hozdic advancing to mount. Hozdic tries to pass to full mount but Cicerón defends it. Hozdic performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cicerón keeping hold of Hozdic's head, controlling as best he can.

Hozdic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Hozdic with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cicerón wants to control but Hozdic is keeping busy.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Cicerón slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hozdic advances to half guard. Cicerón is looking to improve his position.

You can see the frustration on Cicerón's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
