The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

smith is trying to trip Johnson. He has hold of a leg but Johnson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. smith persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Johnson wants to stand but smith is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
smith stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

smith drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick smith off! smith jumps back into Johnson's guard.

smith drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says smith as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Johnson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with smith! Nice submission victory there!
