Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krisko Kurtev (ranked 4617 p4p, 3320 weight class) and Pan Thongrak (ranked 418 p4p, 327 weight class). Thongrak has chosen Muay Thai Traditional as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 38 - 49 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Krisko Kurtev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pan Thongrak! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtev closes the distance and clinches. Thongrak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kurtev is trying to pull guard but Thongrak turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Thongrak wants to stall.
Thongrak is pressed up against the cage. Kurtev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thongrak down to the mat. Thongrak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thongrak misses with a straight left. Thongrak scores with a jab to the body.
Kurtev clinches with his opponent.
Kurtev drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krisko Kurtev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thongrak has Kurtev pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thongrak tries to work over Kurtev's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Thongrak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kurtev tries to close the distance and clinch but Thongrak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Thongrak swats away the attempt to clinch by Kurtev. Kurtev shoots in looking for a takedown. Thongrak tries to sprawl out of it but Kurtev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thongrak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thongrak shapes to counter with a head kick. Kurtev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thongrak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've been hearing reports that Kurtev has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kurtev dives in for a single leg takedown but Thongrak sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Thongrak is pressed up against the cage. Kurtev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thongrak down to the mat. Thongrak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thongrak with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kurtev is breathing heavily. Thongrak throws a quick inside leg kick. Kurtev fails with an attempt to clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Thongrak. Thongrak lands a nice shot to the body.
Kurtev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thongrak swivels and escapes. Thongrak feints a counter leg kick. Thongrak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kurtev.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Thongrak stuns Kurtev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kurtev darts in trying to clinch and Thongrak makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kurtev really felt that one! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thongrak connects with a body shot that sends Kurtev's belly button to the back. Thongrak lands a really nice looking cross but Kurtev seems unphased.
An inside leg kick lands from Thongrak. Kurtev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thongrak's waist but Thongrak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurtev off to one side. Thongrak stuns Kurtev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Thongrak keeps Kurtev at a distance using the push kick.
Thongrak feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kurtev sprawling to the canvas! Kurtev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thongrak finish him?!
 Kurtev is rocked! Kurtev ducks into an uppercut from Thongrak and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pan Thongrak! Our winner, Pan Thongrak, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
