Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Everett (ranked 2361 p4p, 3727 weight class) and Nigel Greer (ranked 244 p4p, 358 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Everett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Greer! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Everett swings widly with a right hand
and Greer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Everett looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Everett throws a body punch but Greer moves out of range. Everett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Greer staying out of range there. Greer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Greer slips under a jab from Everett. Everett swings widly with a right hand
and Greer counters with a straight right hand. Everett throws an overhand right that lands on Greer's shoulder, as Greer tries to avoid the shot. Jab by Everett. Greer throws a series of strikes that have Everett backpedaling.
Everett needs to keep his hands up - Greer had a free shot at his head there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Greer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Everett's head backwards. Greer slips a straight right by Everett. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Greer! But no joy. Everett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Everett swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Everett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Everett misses with a hook. Greer ducked under it nicely. Greer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Greer defending well as Everett loads up on a big left hand. Everett throws out a powerful jab. A big right from Everett misses. A countering left hand to the body from Greer misses. Everett closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Greer blocks a jab. Everett misses with a right hand letting Greer counter with a right hand. Everett getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Everett swings widly with a right hand
and Greer counters with a crisp one two that drops Everett! Greer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Everett to his feet! Everett is in big trouble!
 Everett is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Everett stuns Greer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Greer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Everett. Everett throws a lazy uppercut
and Greer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Everett drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Everett throws a left and a right that both miss
and Greer counters with a stiff right hand. Everett swings widly with a right hand
and Greer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Oh Everett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Everett thows a left - swing and a miss! Everett seems to have got his legs back now. Everett walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Everett throws an off balance right hand
and Greer counters with a straight right hand. A swing and a miss from Everett. Everett shoots in for a takedown but Greer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Greer lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Everett slips a jab from Greer. Greer slips a straight right by Everett. Greer is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Everett swings for the body but Greer moves out of range.
Everett misses with a body shot
and Greer counters with a nice body shot. Greer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Everett had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Greer moves into range and connects with a jab. Everett misses with a left hand and Greer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Everett misses with an uppercut. Greer saw that one coming. A jab lands there for Everett. Greer blocks a jab. A little jabbing left from Greer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Greer misses with a wild body shot. Everett throws a big shot that misses. Greer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Greer moves out of range of the strikes. Everett missing with a left hand there. Greer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Everett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Greer.
Everett takes a swing at Greer's ribcage but misses. Greer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Everett. Greer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Everett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Greer has time to react.

Everett throws a jab when Greer was well out of range. Nigel Greer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Everett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. It seemed like Greer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Everett loads up on a big right hand but Greer slips the punch. Everett is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Greer misses with a lunging right hand
and Everett makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Greer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Everett. Everett throws an off balance right hand
and Greer counters with a lovely straight right hand! Everett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Greer slips under a jab. Everett misses with an uppercut
and Greer counters with a straight right hand. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Everett throws a right and a left that Greer avoids nicely. Everett throws a jab but it's blocked by Greer. A telegraphed right hand from Everett misses the target. Greer looks like he wants to counter punch here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nigel Greer will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A jab from Everett finds it's way through Greer's defenses. Everett feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Everett misses with a lunging right hand
and Greer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Everett throws out a loose jab but Greer uses good head movement to avoid it. Everett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Greer moves away. Greer moves out of range as Everett strikes. Greer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Everett jabbing away but nothing is landing. Greer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Everett looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Everett misses with a lunging right hand
and Greer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! A jab lands there for Greer.

Greer throws out a counter right but Everett avoids it with no problem. Everett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Everett misses with a straight left. Greer missing with a left hand there. Everett was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. An attempted straight right counter from Everett misses the target. Everett scores with a jab to the jaw. Greer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Everett under the eye. A jab from Everett finds it's way through Greer's defenses. Everett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Greer but Greer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Everett jabbing away but nothing is landing. Greer scores with a hook. Greer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Greer misses with a body shot
and Everett counters with a straight right hand. Greer ducks under a wild hook from Everett. Greer looks to land a right hand but Everett moved out of range. Greer scores with a jab. Greer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and Greer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Everett swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Greer.
Everett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Everett moves into full mount! Greer won't be happy about that! Everett avoids the attempt from Greer to control. Greer is just holding on here. Everett manages to take his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Everett is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Everett avoiding Greer 's attempts to control his hands. Everett slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Everett is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Greer defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Everett avoiding Greer 's attempts to control his hands. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Everett dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Everett gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Greer counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Everett connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Everett misses with a combination

Greer lands a left and a right that send Everett crashing to the mat, dazed. Greer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Everett digs a good hook to Greer's body.
