Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Akhmad Sadulayev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixon Cider!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sadulayev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cider moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters circling - Sadulayev throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It seemed like Cider was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sadulayev misses with a body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cider! But no joy.
Sadulayev throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cider counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cider bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It seemed like Cider was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sadulayev swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Cider counters with a crisp right hand that drops Sadulayev! Cider lets Sadulayev back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Sadulayev is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sadulayev rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cider counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Sadulayev out cold! What a finish! Cider is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dixon Cider!
