And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 63 wins and 35 losses; Trip Fontaine! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Fontaine closes the distance and clinches.
Massey decides to pull guard. Fontaine is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fontaine looking to pass the guard. Fontaine is pushing down on Massey's leg trying to pass to half guard. Massey is fighting to maintain full guard but Fontaine has managed to sneak the leg through. Fontaine trying to control the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fontaine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Massey wants to control but Fontaine postures up. The referee asks Fontaine politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fontaine prefers to stall for the moment though. Massey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fontaine on the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Massey's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fontaine tries to advance to mount but can't. Massey tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Fontaine is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Massey has managed to escape the submission attempt.

 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fontaine is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Massey is surviving well by controlling Fontaine's body position as best he can. Fontaine controlling from mount. Fontaine moves to back control. Score +3 for taking back: Massey (0) vs (8) Fontaine Massey just trying to survive but Fontaine is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Good control from Fontaine.
Fontaine is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Massey defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Fontaine looking to break Massey's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Massey remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Fontaine will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fontaine has got one arm under Massey's chin. This could be trouble... Massey trying to control the other hand but Fontaine gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Massey has tapped out! The fight is over!
