Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Young Blood One (ranked 24637 p4p, 2724 weight class) and JB Penn (ranked 342 p4p, 214 weight class). Young Blood One has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Young Blood One! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JB Penn! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood One staying out of range there. Penn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
 It looks like Young Blood One has been cut. Penn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blood One feinted with a counter takedown. Blood One avoids a punch combination nicely.
Penn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Penn misses with an uppercut. Blood One drops down looking for a counter takedown but Penn sprawls and moves away. Penn misses with a body shot.
Penn fails to land with a series of punches.
Penn throws a series of punches but Blood One moves out of range. Blood One swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Blood One shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penn as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn lands a nice hook to Blood One's body. Blood One takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oooooh!!! Penn has knocked Blood One down with a huge combo! Penn steps away and waves a wobbly Blood One back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Penn misses with a lunging right hand

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Blood One wants to finish this one by submission but Penn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Blood One. Penn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Penn tries to get to full guard but Blood One has control of the leg. Blood One trying to control from half guard but Penn is working away. Blood One prevents Penn from improving his position.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Penn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Penn stalling. Blood One regains full guard. Nicely done. Blood One keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully. Blood One looking for a sweep. Not yet Blood One, not yet. Penn wants to control from the top but Blood One keeps moving.

Blood One preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Penn is in close to Blood One's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
JB Penn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Young Blood One's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Penn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blood One moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Blood One swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Blood One has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Blood One there as he acknowledges the shot. Penn misses with the combination.
Blood One changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Penn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Blood One counters with a nice double leg into side control. Penn won't be happy with that. Blood One taking a breather here. Penn wants to control but Blood One postures up.
Blood One swings around for an armbar but Penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Blood One's guard. Penn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blood One works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Penn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Penn throws a big elbow that misses. Blood One keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully. Penn is looking to advance position but Blood One has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Blood One wants to take his opponent's back but Penn doesn't allow it. Penn tries to hold on but Blood One postures up. Penn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blood One haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Blood One looking to finish Penn with some ground and pound. This is bad for Penn!
Blood One is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Penn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Penn shrugs it off. Penn wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Blood One.
Blood One lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Blood One breaks from Penn's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Blood One jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Penn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn can't do much from the bottom here. Blood One looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Penn is avoiding damage well.
Penn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blood One off and has taken his back!
Blood One is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Penn has got one arm under Blood One's chin. This could be trouble... Blood One trying to control the other hand but Penn gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Blood One has tapped out! The fight is over!
