Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Poirier!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poirier throws a right hand that Nolan ducks under and follows up with a left that Nolan also avoids with ease.
Nate Poirier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poirier throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nolan has closed the distance and engaged Poirier in a clinch.
Nolan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Poirier backwards.

Poirier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nolan walks away with a smile on his face. Poirier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Nolan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nolan moves into the clinch successfully.

Nolan works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nolan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Poirier backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nolan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Poirier jumps guard but Nolan stands there with Poirier around his waist. Poirier gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Frederick Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Poirier.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
