The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abadilla gets caught flat footed, as Gadzhiyev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Abadilla looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gadzhiyev puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
