Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Jardine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jardine throws a nice looking combination but Murphy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Murphy stalks Jardine and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jardine's face. Jardine staggers backwards, shaken.
Murphy throws a head kick that misses.
Murphy tries to bum rush Jardine with a series of wild strikes but Jardine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jardine dodges the punch combination from Murphy.
It looked like Jardine was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Murphy misses with a few strikes there.
Murphy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jardine shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Murphy eats them both and turns towards Jardine to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jardine tries to clinch there but Murphy circles away.

Jardine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jardine lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Murphy backwards.
Murphy is trying to pull guard but Jardine has him pressed against the cage.

Murphy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jardine has Murphy up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Murphy breaks from the clinch.
Murphy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jardine clinches up with Murphy and pushes him back against the cage.
Murphy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jardine after a bit of a struggle.
Jardine lands a right hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards.
Murphy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jardine pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ricky Jardine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Murphy.
Jardine digs a right hand underneath Murphy's ribcage. Murphy let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Murphy tries to circle away but Jardine has him pinned against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Jardine's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Murphy wants to take the fight to the mat but Jardine manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jardine creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Murphy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jardine is leaning against Murphy and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Murphy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jardine just stands there and leans against the cage.
Murphy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jardine pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jardine closes the distance and pushes Murphy back into the cage.
Murphy is trying to drag Jardine to the mat but Jardine just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Murphy jumps into guard, dragging Jardine to the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Jardine dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jardine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Murphy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Max Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jardine takes a swing at Murphy's ribcage but misses.
Jardine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murphy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jardine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Murphy can do to turn this around?

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jardine smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Jardine connects with a right that clearly hurt Murphy. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Jardine proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Murphy collapses and taps out under the pressure!
