Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Cavesa (ranked 3973 p4p, 3948 weight class) and Damian Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamb has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emilio Cavesa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Lamb! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavesa displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lamb looks winded!
Cavesa moves into the clinch. Cavesa is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lamb is trying to stall.

Cavesa has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lamb clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Lamb is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lamb is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cavesa looking to break Lamb's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lamb remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cavesa will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
 That's one minute gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Cavesa.
Cavesa connects with a big shot to the side of Lamb's head.
Cavesa is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lamb defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Cavesa controlling the position well here. Lamb rolled but Cavesa kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cavesa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lamb has freed his hand and lives to survive another� well, another couple of seconds at least!
Cavesa has good solid back control here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavesa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lamb for as long as he can get away with.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cavesa really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Lamb.
Cavesa patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cavesa is looking for a choke. Lamb gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Lamb manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Cavesa wants to stand but Lamb is controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Emilio Cavesa dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lamb pushes Cavesa off and gets back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cavesa throws a combination. Lamb tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cavesa clinches up against the cage. Lamb is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cavesa has Lamb pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lamb manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Cavesa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cavesa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lamb defends well and Cavesa ends up having to push Lamb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emilio Cavesa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cavesa lands a good knee to the midsection. Lamb won't want to take too many of those. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Lamb is trying to break the clinch but Cavesa is controlling him.
Cavesa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cavesa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cavesa pulls Lamb in to control the position. Cavesa wants to sweep here but Lamb controlling him for the moment. Lamb passes Cavesa's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cavesa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lamb can do to turn this around?

Cavesa has one foot on Lamb's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Cavesa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cavesa sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cavesa working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cavesa postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Cavesa controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavesa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Cavesa cracks Lamb with a solid left hand. Cavesa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cavesa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Cavesa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cavesa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Cavesa stands up from half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Emilio Cavesa dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cavesa throws a head kick that Lamb semi-blocks.
Cavesa looks for a takedown but Lamb sprawls well. Cavesa explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Cavesa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lamb napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cavesa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lamb on the ground. Lamb prevents Cavesa from improving position. Lamb takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cavesa happy to just control the position for now.

Cavesa closes the distance and pushes Lamb back into the cage. Lamb is pressed up against the cage. Cavesa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lamb down to the mat. Lamb avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cavesa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lamb is looking to get back to is feet but Cavesa passes into side control.
Cavesa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cavesa misses with a takedown attempt - Lamb sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emilio Cavesa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavesa looking for a sweep. Not yet Cavesa, not yet. Cavesa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Cavesa manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Cavesa gets control of Lamb's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cavesa will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Cavesa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lamb. Cavesa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lamb is one step ahead there. Cavesa wants to get back to his feet but Lamb is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Cavesa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cavesa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cavesa trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Damian Lamb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Emilio Cavesa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cavesa has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lamb off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that's the end of the fight! Emilio Cavesa showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cavesa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
