And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Nano Grippy!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Dobbie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grippy sprawls well initially but Dobbie persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Dobbie (2) vs (0) Grippy

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dobbie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Grippy moves into full guard.
Grippy has Dobbie pulled in close to control his posture.

Dobbie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grippy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Grippy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dobbie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Grippy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dobbie controls the pace.

Grippy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dobbie has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Grippy is looking for the choke from the back position but Dobbie is controlling his hands well.
Grippy has managed to slip his arm under Dobbie's chin. This could be all over... yep, Dobbie is tapping out! Submission win for Grippy.
