The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Short shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Macallan defends it nicely.

Short seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Macallan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Short seems to be working for a kimura but Macallan defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Short looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Macallan has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Short. Oh but Macallan has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Short goes limp - he's gone! Macallan jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
