Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vicktor Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pas Squini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pas Squini told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squini misses with a jab, cross combination.
Squini keeps the fight on the outside.
Carvalho moves in looking to clinch but Squini pushes him off.
Carvalho is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carvalho shoots in for a double leg but Squini sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Carvalho steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Squini.
Squini throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho is looking to clinch but Squini is avoiding it.
Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown. Squini tries to sprawl out of it but Carvalho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Squini manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carvalho throws a body punch but Squini moves out of range.

Carvalho shoots in but Squini avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vicktor Carvalho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carvalho needs to keep his hands up - Squini had a free shot at his head there.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Carvalho. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Carvalho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Squini is fending him off so far but Carvalho persists. Nope, Squini circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carvalho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Squini but Squini pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carvalho drops his hands momentarily. Squini doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Carvalho staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Carvalho doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
