Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yar Bol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francesco Monroe!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bol.
Bol has closed the distance and engaged Monroe in a clinch.
Monroe manages to break the clinch.
Bol has managed to clinch.
Bol lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Monroe backwards.
Bol breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yar Bol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monroe explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Bol swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Monroe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bol darts in trying to clinch
and Monroe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Yar Bol has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Monroe. That snapped Bol's head back.
Bol misses the jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Monroe slips a jab from Bol.
Bol pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bol throws a series of punches but Monroe avoids them all with ease.
Monroe flicks out a counter leg kick but Bol steps away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Monroe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bol rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Monroe counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bol is breathing heavily.
Monroe scoring well with a low kick there.
Bol throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bol tries to clinch up
and Monroe counters with a nice right hand that sends Bol toppling to the canvas! Bol scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Monroe finish him?!
Bol is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bol throws a lazy uppercut
and Monroe counters with a right hand from hell and Bol is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francesco Monroe!
A relieved looking Francesco Monroe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
