Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bastiaan De Vries (ranked 1987 p4p, 3699 weight class) and Arthur Lawrence (ranked 85 p4p, 118 weight class). De Vries comes to the cage accompanied by Kleine Jongen by André Hazes. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bastiaan De Vries!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Lawrence!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries moves out of range of the strikes.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lawrence.
De Vries throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lawrence dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on De Vries. That did some damage!
De Vries keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lawrence.
It looked like De Vries was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Lawrence swings widly with a right hand
and De Vries counters with a nice right hand that sends Lawrence toppling to the canvas! Lawrence scrambles and gets back to his feet - can De Vries finish him?!
It looks like Arthur Lawrence has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Vries uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lawrence.
Lawrence lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lawrence misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
De Vries stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lawrence.
Lawrence throws a jab but it's blocked by De Vries.
An attempted straight right counter from De Vries misses the target.
De Vries has been working on his boxing with his coaches at CN・Dojo in the buildup to the fight.
Lawrence's corner calls for a 1-2. Lawrence obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lawrence scoring well with a low kick there.
Lawrence looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
De Vries takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Arthur Lawrence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Vries looks to throw the jab but Lawrence is out of range.
Lawrence throws an off balance right hand
and De Vries connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lawrence dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on De Vries. That did some damage!
Lawrence pushes De Vries away with a front kick.
Lawrence throws a quick head kick that skims the top of De Vries's head.
Lawrence fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Vries.
De Vries moves out of range of the body kick.
Lawrence lands a nice leg kick that just misses De Vries's sensitive parts.
De Vries misses with an uppercut.
Lawrence looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Lawrence buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

De Vries chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lawrence can pounce on him.
Lawrence buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
De Vries fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lawrence manages to avoid it.
De Vries on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lawrence. Lawrence obviously looking to wear him down.
De Vries throws a lazy right hand but Lawrence sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lawrence staying out of range there.

A nice leg kick from Lawrence, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lawrence lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice uppercut lands for Lawrence. That snapped De Vries's head back.
Lawrence fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Vries.
De Vries slips under a jab from Lawrence.
A quick step to the side and De Vries tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
De Vries takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lawrence with the inside leg kick.
Lawrence throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
De Vries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like De Vries wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
An inside leg kick lands from Lawrence.
Lawrence swings widly with a right hand
and De Vries counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lawrence with a nice calf kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
De Vries jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A solid leg kick lands there for Lawrence.
Lawrence keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from De Vries.
Lawrence throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
De Vries chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lawrence can pounce on him.
De Vries is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
De Vries takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lawrence delivers a nice body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lawrence lets loose with a powerful body kick. De Vries will feel that in the morning.
Lawrence turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lawrence scores with a kick to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Arthur Lawrence dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A nice inside leg kick there by Lawrence. That's going to slow De Vries down.

and De Vries counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lawrence! De Vries lets Lawrence back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
De Vries thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lawrence was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
De Vries fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lawrence manages to avoid it.
Lawrence looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lawrence throws a leg kick which misses De Vries's front leg but catches the back leg as De Vries tries to avoid it.
Lawrence fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and De Vries has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lawrence throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
De Vries swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
De Vries on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The fighters circling - Lawrence throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A little feinted left hand from De Vries on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lawrence.
Lawrence buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
De Vries moves out of range as Lawrence strikes.

Lawrence looks to throw the jab but De Vries is out of range.
Lawrence tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
De Vries throwing a counter right hand but Lawrence manages to avoid it.

and De Vries counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bastiaan De Vries!
Bastiaan De Vries seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Arthur Lawrence had this to say: '*Burp* *hiccup* I need another shot. *hiccup*'.
