Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hector Molina (ranked 3069 p4p, 3270 weight class) and Slade Hodge (ranked 304 p4p, 325 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Molina does it's job there.
A punch lands to the side of Hodge 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A big left from Hodge misses.
Molina doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hodge misses with a low kick as Molina jumps back.
Molina lands an overhand right.
Molina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hodge moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hodge changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hodge moves forwards but Molina connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Slade Hodge has been cut.
Hodge misses with a looping right.
Molina looks to land a left hand but Hodge moved out of range nicely.
Hodge slips under a jab.
Molina cracks Hodge with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Molina stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Molina waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hodge.

Hodge throws a hook but Molina blocks it.
Hodge fails to land with a series of punches.
Molina throws out a loose jab but Hodge uses good head movement to avoid it.
Molina misses with a looping left.
Molina scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hodge moves out of range as Molina strikes.

Molina throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hodge.
Hodge is rocked!
Molina is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hodge walks straight into a right hand from Molina - that's dropped him! Molina jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hodge from any more punishment! Hodge complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hector Molina!
Hector Molina looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I feel amazing. I put in the work, stuck to the plan, and got it done. My opponent was tough, but I was prepared. At the end of the day, I cannot afford to lose.'.
Slade Hodge spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm not done here.'.
