Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Markoo Oksanen (ranked 2444 p4p, 3292 weight class) and Joe Poole (ranked 262 p4p, 333 weight class). Poole has chosen Shook Ones, Part II - Mobb Deep as his entrance music. Markoo Oksanen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Markoo Oksanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Poole!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oksanen as he avoids it easily.
Poole swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Poole throws a body shot but no joy.
Poole misses with a body shot.
Joe Poole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Oksanen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Poole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Poole takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Poole takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Poole fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oksanen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Poole.
Poole takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oksanen tries to bum rush Poole with a series of wild strikes but Poole uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oksanen tries to land a front kick but Poole steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Poole throws a body punch but Oksanen moves out of range.
Oksanen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oksanen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oksanen connects with a crisp jab.
Poole on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Poole throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Poole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Oksanen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oksanen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Poole is rocked!
Markoo Oksanen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Poole fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Oksanen manages to avoid it.
Poole swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Poole is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Oksanen rather than just go for the knockout.
Poole takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oksanen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pooles jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A telegraphed right hand from Poole misses the target.
Poole misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oksanen.
Oksanen is looking to counter punch.
Oksanen scores with a jab to the head.
Poole takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Poole is still on wobbly legs! Can Oksanen finish him?
Poole misses with an uppercut. Oksanen saw that one coming.
Oksanen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Poole gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Oksanen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Poole is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Markoo Oksanen!
