Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Crute!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Kayemba!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crute drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crute is standing up over Kayemba. Kayemba looks to escape but Crute dives into side control.
Crute will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kayemba pushes Crute away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Crute gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Crute has hold of Kayemba's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kayemba tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Crute cranks the arm and Kayemba screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kayemba, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jimmy Crute!
