And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 5 losses; Karson Massey! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Garcia moves into range and clinches up with Massey.
Massey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Garcia uses from the top position. Garcia pushes down on Massey's leg and manages to get into half guard. Garcia keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Massey is trying to control but Garcia passes into side control!
Score +3 for passing guard: Garcia (3) vs (0) Massey We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Massey's shoulder. That is not cool.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Massey felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Massey is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Massey gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Score +2 for reaching mount: Garcia (5) vs (0) Massey Garcia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia prevents Massey from getting the reversal. Massey has given up his back - I don�t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Score +3 for taking back: Garcia (8) vs (0) Massey Garcia controls the position. Garcia has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Garcia. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Garcia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Massey right now.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. Massey tries to escape but Garcia has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Massey trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Garcia controlling the position well here. Massey rolled but Garcia kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Garcia continues to stall.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Garcia is not going to allow Massey to sit and survive in this position. Massey is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Garcia.

Massey is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Garcia off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Garcia controls the action. Garcia continues to hold on tight.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Garcia is riding his opponent, not letting Massey buck him off.

Massey wants to control his opponent's hands but Garcia gets his hands free. Garcia is hanging on to Massey's back as he tries to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Garcia trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Massey doesn't escape.
