Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heimdall Aegir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Markie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Heimdall Aegir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Markie! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aegir moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Markie misses with a double jab.
Markie looks to score with a jab to the body but Aegir is just out of range. Markie shoots in for a double leg but Aegir sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Markie throws a right and a left that Aegir avoids nicely. Nice cross by Markie. Aegir is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Markie's half guard. Aegir is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Aegir looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Aegir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Markie is just riding it out for now. Aegir eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aegir wants to work for an arm triangle but Markie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Aegir blocks the strikes from Markie.
Markie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aegir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Markie is trying to stand back up but Aegir is controlling him
Aegir seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Markie is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
