Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Igor Lightning (ranked 3931 p4p, 3992 weight class) and Smo Smo (ranked 244 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Lightning!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Smo Smo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightning drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smo has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lightning has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Smo is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Smo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lightning.
Smo is trying to stall.
Smo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lightning has him pressed against the cage.
Lightning tries for a takedown. No joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smo is trying to break the clinch but Lightning has him pressed against the cage.

Smo tries to break free but Lightning pushes him back against the cage.
Lightning is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lightning drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lightning gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lightning closes the distance and clinches.
Lightning is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lightning wants a takedown but no success here.
Lightning fails to pull guard.
Smo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lightning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lightning wants to stand up but Smo is controlling him.
Lightning can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smo controls the pace.
Lightning keeping moving, preventing Smo from controlling successfully.
Smo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smo trying to control but Lightning is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Smo lands with a straight right. Lightning didn't see that one coming.
Lightning is rocked!
Lightning takes the fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Smo is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lightning is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Smo Smo dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Smo cracks Lightning with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lightning to stand back up!
Oh Lightning is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lightning throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smo was covering up waiting for the punch and Lightning finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Smo wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice body punch from Smo.
Lightning seems to have got his legs back now.
Smo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Smo cracks Lightning with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Lightning falls to his knees and Smo doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Smo Smo!
