Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scooter Dahan (ranked 2932 p4p, 2916 weight class) and Jason Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scooter Dahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Myers!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dahan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Myers tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dahan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Myers's legs.
Myers sneaks out the side door and pushes Dahan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Dahan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dahan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Myers sprawls well. Myers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dahan gets slowly back to his feet.
Myers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dahan shoots in but no luck this time.
Myers dives in and grabs Dahan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dahan pushes down on Myers's head and hops out.
Dahan appears to be looking for a big counter.
Myers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dahan attempts a counter takedown but Myers avoids it well and moves away.
Dahan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Myers avoids it really well and circles away.

Myers darts in and clinches Dahan up against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dahan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dahan tries to get out of the position.
Myers wants to stand but Dahan is controlling his posture from full guard.
Myers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Myers postures up in Dahan's guard and throws a big left but Dahan blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Myers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dahan's head.
Dahan is working an open guard so Myers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Myers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dahan feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Myers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Myers wants to get back to his feet but Dahan passes into half guard.

Myers is concentrating on defense, preventing Dahan from advancing position.
Myers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dahan.
Still in half guard, Dahan seems content to control.
Dahan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Myers looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Myers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dahan is working away from the top position though.
Dahan drops an elbow to the side of Myers's head.
Dahan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Myers has hold of Dahan's hands but Dahan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Myers has a hand on Dahan's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dahan takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee warns Myers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dahan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Scooter Dahan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Dahan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myers's guard.
Dahan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Myers is looking to stand up but Dahan isn't so interested in that idea.

and Myers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Myers is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Dahan with a body shot.
Myers shoots in and gets a takedown into Dahan's guard.
Myers postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dahan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Myers, into his guard.
Dahan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dahan wants the takedown. Myers is fighting it off but Dahan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Myers's guard against the cage.
Dahan prevents Myers from getting back to his feet.

Myers is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Myers looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dahan passes into side control.

Myers is pushing Dahan's head away, looking to escape. Dahan manages to hold on to the position though.

Myers dodges the ground and pound from Dahan.
Dahan is looking to take a break and control but Myers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dahan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dahan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scooter Dahan.
I think Dahan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
