Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Razor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Todo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todo fails with the takedown.
Todo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Razor trying to control here.
Razor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Todo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Todo moves nicely into side control.

Todo takes a little break here. Razor wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Razor managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Todo.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Todo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Todo.
Razor looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Todo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Razor wants to get back to full guard.
Todo is tying to control. Razor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Todo has eaten all the pies!
Razor is pressing down on Todo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Razor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Todo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Razor circles away.
Razor wants to clinch
and Todo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Razor's guard.
Todo tries to free his leg and advance position but Razor is retaining full guard.
Razor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Todo is one step ahead there.

Todo is breathing heavily.
Todo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Todo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Todo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Todo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Razor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Todo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Razor won't be happy with that.

Razor manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Razor is trying to maintain the position but Todo is very close to passing his half guard.

Razor is not content to let Todo control the position.
Razor looking for submissions off his back.

Razor is looking to control Todo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Razor avoid being mounted?
Razor tries to get to full guard but Todo has control of the leg.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Todo counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Razor throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Razor is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Todo is controlling him.

Razor keeping moving, preventing Todo from controlling successfully.

Jack Todo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Todo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Razor's guard now.
Razor controls Todo momentarily but Todo frees himself.
Razor throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Todo is stalling in the full guard.
Razor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Todo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Razor.
Razor wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Razor dodges the ground and pound from Todo.
A lull in the action here.
Razor is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Razor is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Todo asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Razor gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Todo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Todo not allowing Razor to control his hands.
Razor breaks Todo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Todo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Razor!
Razor is squirming around, avoiding Todo's attempts to control the action.
Todo fails to take his opponent's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jack Todo has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Razor flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
